025: Shawarma  Prize for the 2nd winner of my "Guess what's happening" contest:  Shawarma is a Middle Eastern-style sandwich usually composed of shaved lamb, goat, or chicken. Some contain turkey, beef, or a mixture of meats. Shawarma is a popular dish and fast-food staple across the Middle East, and is consumed across the rest of the world as well. The classic shawarma combination is pita bread, hummus (A dip or spread made from cooked mashed chickpeas, blended with tahini <sesame paste>, lemon juice, salt and garlic.), tomato & cucumber, and of course the choice of meat. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you  the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on.
